Onward Ticket for Indonesia: My Experience & How to Get One
When I fly one-way to Indonesia, airlines often ask for proof of onward travel. Instead of buying a return I don’t need, I use a temporary onward ticket (verifiable flight reservation with PNR). It’s cheap, fast, and has worked for me at check-in and arrival.
I usually order it via onwardticket.com about 24–48 hours before departure. Cost: €15–25. The confirmation email with a booking code (PNR) arrives within minutes.
Visa note: For the visa itself I sometimes use iVisa. For the onward proof, the temporary ticket is usually enough and far cheaper.
My quick step-by-step
- Book your inbound flight to Indonesia.
- 24–48h before departure, order an onward ticket (valid 24–72h).
- Save the email + PNR offline.
- Show it at airline check-in or immigration if asked.
- After arrival, plan your real onward route in peace.
